A WebQuest

Scavenger Hunt

for the

ESL Students at

Leestown Middle School

Introduction

The Internet is a great tool for research. It contains the most up-to-date information and is easy to access. BEWARE! Not everything on the Internet is true, so use only reliable sources. As you locate useful information, you will want to share it with your classmates and others and a nice way to do this is by creating a PowerPoint Presentation. In this activity you will combine two tasks: practice using the Internet and practice presenting information in a PowerPoint Presentation.

Task

Your task is to locate the pictures listed below. In most cases you will be given several Internet sites from which to choose and you will have to hunt for the right picture. When you find the picture you are hunting, right-click on the picture, COPY it, go to your PowerPoint program and PASTE the picture on a slide. Using INSERT, TEXTBOX, draw a box below the picture and label your picture. Click on SAVE before returning to this webquest.
