Introduction

As part of your study of Europe and to get a better feel for the culture of European countries, you will investigate the different foods from various countries.

Task

Investigate each of the resources below to find out about the foods of the different European countries and then map these specialty foods onto your Map of Europe.

Process 1. Label your map with the countries listed in the Resources list above. 

2. Familiarize yourself with the list of foods from the Food List.

3. Visit each site listed in the Resources above.

4. As you read about a food that is listed in the Food List record its number on the appropriate country.

 

Teacher Tips You might find a few foods that can be listed for more than one country. Just put the number in all the appropriate places.

Evaluation This completed project is worth one-fifth of the total project points. Be sure to learn a lot and do well!!
Conclusion Here in America we enjoy many, many different types of foods, and lots of them originated from European countries. How did these customs arrive here in America? Which of these customs are common during your holiday celebrations? How does what we eat reflect our culture?
