Task

For this assignment your group will be assigned countries from a particular region of Europe, and do further research on the countries of this region. As you visit the resources below, record information you find on your PowerPoint Worksheets to use in the PowerPoint presentations that you will prepare for your final assessment.

Pictures of some European Countries

Encarta and Britannica Encyclopedias (please note: these two encyclopedias cannot be reached outside of school through this webquest)

Process

Look over the entire PowerPoint Worksheet in advance so that you know what information you need to locate.

Click on each resource above and attempt to locate the countries of your region. (Note: not all countries will be found in all resources.)

Record the information from your research on the PowerPoint Worksheet.

Teacher Tips

As you do your research you might come across interesting pictures and/or maps that would make your PowerPoint presentation more attractive and interesting. To save these items, right-click on the picture or map and select Save picture as... Choose your folder or a floppy disk on which to save it. Later to bring it into your PowerPoint, click on Insert, Picture, From file and locate the folder or disk in which it was saved.
