How May I Help You?

Does this sound familiar?  You want to use  technology for a lesson in your classroom, but you just don't know where to begin.  To add to this problem, you just don't have time to figure out what to use or how it works.  Plus, you don't want to make a fool of yourself in front of the kids.  After all -- you are the teacher!

I'd be glad to meet with you so we can collaborate on some ideas.  I know you don't have any time, and that's okay.  We can talk while you are watching your students at recess, during your lunch, while you monitor your students in bathroom lines, before or after school, or just any time you have a couple of seconds.  Just touch base with me, and we can set up a quick meeting time.

Next, I can help you prepare for the lesson in ways you want help!  If you would like, I can gather lesson plans, equipment and materials.  I can get every thing all set up, and even model the lesson for you.

Sometimes teachers just want a little support when they make first attempts at using something new in the classroom.  They just want some one in the background who knows what to do if something goes wrong.  If this sounds like you, I can be that background person for you!

Finally, there are those teachers who are looking for a challenge.  You want to grow into higher levels as a technology user.  There again, it would be my pleasure to support you in ways you want support!

Whether you are an experienced technology user, or new to all these gadgets, I would be glad to support you in ways that work for you!  Just as each student is different, so is each adult.  So together we can help you in ways that are meaningful to you and your growth!

They're Baaaaaaaaack!

You know those nasty worms and viruses that brought FCPS to it's knees a couple of weeks ago?  They're baaaaaaaaack!  Be sure to support your School Technology Coordinators by following instructions about restarting your computers or updating your "Trend" virus protection.  When you get emails from your STC to let you know about the new "Trend Up-date" or "Trend Pattern," don't wait!  Our STCs and technicians are spending a lot of time fighting viruses and worms that could have been avoided if computers had been shut down and restarted to up-date the anti virus software.

STAFF & STUDENTS:  FCPS pays a subscription so that Worldbook is available at school and at home.  There are simple user names and passwords to use, which I can't publish on the web, but can be sent in an email:
