How May I Help You?

Are you being evaluated this year?  Did you know that there is a technology component to the evaluation?  Standard IX is used for beginning teachers, while Standard X is used for experienced teachers.  As you prepare for your evaluations, I would be glad to help you.  I can assist you in locating materials, preparing lessons, learning how to use equipment, practicing with your technology components, or video taping your lesson.  My job is to help you look good when it comes to your evaluation!

How May I Help YOU?

Thank You!

Thank you for your wonderful support in getting items for our overseas soldiers.  I thank you from the bottom of my heart, and so do the rest of the members of the Fayette County School Administrators' Association (FCSAA)!

Making a
Personal Distribution List

I get a lot of requests to help create Personal Distribution lists.  This is an easy way for you to stay in contact with a group of colleagues or friends:

1.  In Outlook, click on "Contacts" or open your "Address book" and click on "Contacts."

2.  On your Outlook toolbar, click on "New" and select "Distribution List."

3.  Your cursor should be in the "Name" box.  Name your group.

4.  Next, click on "Select members."  Your global address book will pop up.  Type names in the box or select members from the list.  Each time you select a member, click on the "Member" button in the center of the box.  When you are done selecting members from the address book, click "OK."

5.  To add members with other internet email addresses, click on "Add New."  Type in the name and email addresses you want in this list, then type '"OK."

6.  When your distribution list is complete, click on "Save and Close."

Web Sites of  the Week

WORLDBOOK ONLINE - HOME LINK
http://www2.worldbook.com/

STAFF & STUDENTS:  FCPS pays a subscription so that Worldbook is available at school and at home.  There are simple user names and passwords to use, which I can't publish on the web.  You can receive the passwords from your media specialists.

On school computers, you will find a link to Worldbook Online on the FCPS Intranet page. It also lists the user name and password for school use.

ONLINE INTERACTIVE MATHEMATICS

(ONE LINK)

ALL ELEMENTARY:  These interactive math activities come from Australia.  There are some timed activities that would be great in a center or lab setting.  You may want to explore more of the entire site, as they have wonderful things for all content areas!  The main site is: http://teachingtreasures.com.au/index.html
