eNews
Weekly Newsletter
This
is the first newsletter of the 2003-2004 school
year. Generally, I send the newsletter out
on Thursdays. Due to web problems, I have
not been able to get this to you before today,
This
newsletter is sent to the schools I serve and a
growing list of teachers, technology
professionals, and administrators. There is
an archive of past newsletters so teachers do not
need to save the weekly issues. You can find
them at:

Please
let me know if there are topics you would like to
see in the newsletter. Your suggestions are
always warmly welcomed!
How
May I Help You?
Probably
one of the biggest "new" teaching tools
you will be working with this year is the
Curriculum Map. I have had the FCPS training
in the Curriculum Map, and I have had a number of
years of experience in developing and using
Curriculum Maps while I was in other school
districts. I'd be glad to help you with the
Curriculum Map. Here are just a few of the
things I can do to assist you.
-
Locating
lesson plans on the Internet
-
Finding
corresponding web sites for research and
activities
-
Collaborating
on activities and lessons
-
Helping
with the technology components for your
lessons
-
Setting
up your Curriculum Map on your server or
computer.

TEACHERS
& STAFF: I have tried to capture the
best sites representing lesson plans, activities,
projects and classroom management techniques for
the first weeks of school. Many ideas can be
tied into the FCPS Curriculum Map.

After a long summer, it's easy to forget how to do
certain things on the computer. Please don't
hesitate to ask if you need help in any way!
