Welcome to the
2004-2005 School Year!

Just where did the summer go?  Did your summer fly as fast as mine did?  I hope you had a wonderful, and revitalizing, summer.  I am looking forward to working with you this year!

This is the first newsletter of the 2004-2005 school year.  Generally, I send the newsletter out on Thursdays. This newsletter is sent to the schools I serve and a growing list of teachers, technology professionals, and administrators.  There is an archive of past newsletters so teachers do not need to save the weekly issues.  You can find them at:

Please let me know if there are topics you would like to see in the newsletter.  Your suggestions are always warmly welcomed!

How May I Help You?

Are you looking for some great ideas to start off the school year right?  I would be glad to help you implement lesson plans, activities, and projects found in my Back to School links.  For those teachers who have traditional beginning of the year activities, I would be glad to help in any way!  Just send me an email (bbarr@fayette.k12.ky.us) or call me on my cell phone (494-3607) and we can set up a time to get together.

Digital Pictures

Are you looking for some great instructional activities to build community in your classroom?  Beginning of the year digital pictures offer tremendous opportunities for all kinds of lessons and projects.  If you do not have access to a digital camera, I do!  Just send me an email (bbarr@fayette.k12.ky.us) or call me on my cell phone (494-3607) and we can make arrangements!

TEACHERS & STAFF:  I have tried to capture the best sites representing lesson plans, activities, projects and classroom management techniques for the first weeks of school.  Many ideas can be tied into the FCPS Curriculum Map.
