Getting
Ready for Summer
Before you leave for the summer,
you also need to prepare your computer/computers. Your STC
has specific directions which apply just to your school. In
general, you need to clean up email, "My Documents," and
any folders you have on your school servers. If I can help you with some
tips and tricks to make this a lot easier, just let me know.

To all of you who have
said that you thought the "year round calendar"
sounded like a great idea, now is your chance to have a voice!
The link included in this email will take you to the survey
regarding Fayette County going to an "enhanced"
calendar which is a version of our year round idea or the
traditional calendar. The "enhanced" calendar has a
two week break in October and a two week break in March. Take a
look and VOTE. At least you will be able to say that you had a
say one way or the other. Please let as many co-workers know
about this as possible--spread the word to other schools and
interested community members as well.

I Scream,
You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream
Barbara
Hatton's class (1st-Harrison) made homemade ice cream, then wrote
a piece on how to make ice cream. The students typed their
work in Word, then embellished the hall with their wonderful
writing projects!

Now my class is practicing what we have learned on UltraKey. I
have been practicing and can type 77 words per minute with 100%
accuracy.
