How May I Help
You?
Which
comes first, learning to make a PowerPoint or the
PowerPoint Project? In recent professional
literature, most educational technology gurus would
tell you to teach students how to make PowerPoints
before they are required to use the program in a
project or learning activity. Jamie McKenzie (
http://www.fno.org/)
suggests that the first time students learn
PowerPoint, you let them go wild with fonts,
animations, sounds and all the fun features in the
program. After they learn all the
features, have the students make projects with
PowerPoint using a limited
number of features. If I can help you or your
class with this powerful program, just let me
know! It would be my pleasure to help you!

PRE
K TO ?: This is an incredible site to use in teaching all aspects of
English. It uses a Flash Plug In to keep students actively involved
with fun learning activities. This would make a great center
activity or could be done in the computer lab. This is also great to
use with ESL or ELL students.

5: During testing and at the end of the year, schedules change and
things get out of the routine. Here are some great educational time
fillers you can use for those off times. This site helps to turn
"down time" into learning time.
