How May I Help You!

Remember when they used to teach typing in high school?  Well -- they don't anymore!  In our district, we begin teaching keyboarding no later than third grade.  But think for a minute.  What if you only taught multiplication in third grade.  Yes, people can multiply with the aid of a calculator, but how good would they be at multiplying in their head if they only learned to multiply in third grade.  At many schools, keyboarding instruction begins as early as first or second grade.  By third grade they are hitting it hard.  Then they continue to review keyboarding in the intermediate grades. This not only makes portfolio pieces go a lot faster, but research shows they will earn better grades in middle school, high school, and college where computers generated work and projects are required.  Need ideas for teaching or reinforcing keyboarding skills?  Let me help you!

How may I help you?
