Help!
I Can't Find Anything In My Favorites!

(A special thanks to TRT, Kim Overstreet, for these directions)

Have you saved so many links in your Favorites in Internet Explorer that you can never find the ones you want?  You can organize these into folders that will make finding the ones you want easier.

  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Click Favorites
  • Click Organize Favorites
  • Now you can create folders for the different types of sites you have saved (i.e. Math, Themes, Literacy, Maps)) by clicking the Create Folder button.
  • Then drag the links on top of the folder they should go into
  • Now whenever you save a new site, you will click Favorites
  • Then Add to Favorites
  • Then to see all your folders, click the Create in button
  • Double click on the folder you want to save that link in and then click OK.

So Little Time!
So Much to Do!

We are running out of time to schedule keyboarding classes before the end of the year.  Remember that all third grade classes need to take keyboarding, and all fourth and fifth should continue to review.  The district goal for the end of 5th grade is a minimum of 20 words per minute.  Last year we started seeing middle schools asking for keyboarding scores of incoming 6th graders.

We have found we get the best keyboarding results with the 10 day Success With Keyboarding program.  UltraKey is an excellent tool for review, and also helps students to monitor personal progress.

To set up keyboarding in your classroom, just e-mail or call me (983-3602).  You will also want to check on the availability of the AlphaSmarts.

All You Need To Know About Life, You Can Learn From A Leprechaun

Life is too short for LONG faces.

When you are happy, sing;
When you are sad, sing LOUDER!

Expect miracles to happen, and they will!

If you can't find a Rainbow; paint your own.

The word "impossible" is not an Irish word.

Never walk so tall that you can't see the wee folk.

If you're feeling blue, wear lots of green and think hopeful thoughts.

No one ever outgrows the need for warm hugs, special dreams, or a wee bit o' mischief.

Quit trying to catch a Leprechaun, and just be one!

Have a happy-go-lucky St. Patrick's Day!

May the luck of the Irish be with you!
