How The Turtle Got Its Shell

Once there was a turtle named Jake and a lion named Jack.  The lion thought   he was king of the jungle.  The turtle didn’t like the lion.  The next day the turtle asked the lion to run around the lake three times.  Whoever got around the lake three times won.  The lion thought it was a good idea.  Then turtle set up a plan and asked his friends to help.  He asked them to pop up at each hole in the lake faster than the lion could run.  But when the turtle was under some rocks, a rock the size of his back stuck on to his back.  He tried to move but the rock was just a little bit too heavy.  The lion wasn’t catching up to the turtle but soon the turtle could move but he was still ahead of the lion but he had to hurry all of his friends went away because they couldn’t find turtle any where.  The turtle had to go across the lake one more time but the turtle had to hurry because the lion was right behind him.  The turtle won the race and finally the turtle new how to defend him and he never got hurt again and any time an animal tried to hurt him he went under his shell.
