Important NOTE: These directions are very simplified so that they can be used with any web editor.  It is assumed you possess a working knowledge of your web editor, and the directions are not specific for any certain program.

Open your web editor.  You may want to create a folder for your talking book to keep your images, sounds, and web pages in a specific location.

Insert a picture from clip art or your own personal files.

Insert the text for that page.

To add voice: Use your computer microphone.  Just click on start/find and type sound.  A shortcut for your sound recorder should appear; drag this to your desktop.  You can also  click on start/programs/accessories/entertainment/sound recorder.  This works just like a tape recorder.  Record your voice and save the file, then add to the page.

Add a link to the next page in your book. You may wish to use arrows, the word "next" or something similar. Highlight the word or symbol and make a hyperlink to the next page.

Repeat the process for each page in your talking book.

Make sure you make a hyperlink from the last page back to the first.
