"Change Maker" This is a game in which a student attempts to
accumulate as much as money as possible in the piggybank.
The student determines how much change he/she is entitled to
receive when making a purchase. The game can be played at
different difficulty levels and using the currency of
different countries.

How Big Is Big-- Good activity for pairs of students to

Develop an understanding of large numbers, including

Converting Time Units is a practice site that reviews how to
find hours and minutes when the number of minutes is known.
It also provides timed practice for students. The student is
timed and receives a report of the percentage correct and
the amount of time required to complete the practice.

Geometry Problem of the Week--A new problem is presented
each week reinforcing objectives in geometry. I post them in
class, and let students propose solutions before returning
to the site to check the answers. Students learn practical
applications of geometry.

students to investigate and design bicycles. Students will
measure lengths and angle and make conjectures about angle
sizes and types. Designated for grades 3 through 5 but
suitable for grade 6 also. of bicycles. Objective: The
student will design a bicycle based on the specific purpose
of their choice using triangles, and measuring angles and
lengths.

skills as that task assigned by the teacher. They have not
gotten into the habit of critically reviewing every

significant idea that comes to mind is viewed as playing a
very minor role in their daily lives.
