Lesson Ideas and Resources

• Lesson - The Food Web

  Use the websites below to introduce or reinforce the concept of the food web. 

  • Start with the Web of Life story. 
  • Then use the Living Edens site to look at a real world example of a food chain and discuss some of the vocabulary presented. 
  • Use the Vocabulary lesson to continue vocabulary practice. 
  • Then let students practice putting a food chain together with the Chain Reaction game. 
  • If time permits use the  Eco-Storybook site and choose from stories that illustrate the food web in action. 
  • Then end the lesson with the Food Chain Hollywood Squares game to review the content.
