Cutting, Copying and Pasting

I’m sure this is a refresher for most, but I’ve had several requests about cutting, copying and pasting so here is a reminder.

Definitions:

Copy – When you copy text (or graphics) it will stay in it’s original location, but is available to be pasted elsewhere.  (Hence, it is a copy.)

Cut – When you cut text (or graphics) it is removed from the original location, but it is available to be pasted elsewhere.

Paste – Inserting the text or graphics that you have either cut or copied.

How?

These features can be used across programs or within one document.  For example, I often copy web addresses from the Internet and paste them into documents to be sure I don’t make any mistakes.
