Changing Case in Word
No matter how many times you tell them, you will always have a student that
types their entire portfolio piece in all caps. Never fear. You do not have to
retype the whole thing. If you are using Microsoft Word, you can select Change
Case, and it will fix it for you. (I do recommend editing to be certain is gets
everything.) Just follow these steps.
- Highlight the text that needs to be changed.
- Click on Format (on the Menu Bar.)
- Click on Change Case.
- Decide what the problem is. If they typed with caps lock on, then choose
tOGGLE cASE. (In other words, they otherwise capitalized correctly, but
didn't know caps lock was on.) If they typed everything in caps, then choose
Sentence case. You may have to play around a little to get what you want.
- Click OK.
