Writing a Persuasive Letter

EL-4-WC-S-3  I can write a persuasive letter using 3 facts to support my belief.

 

FIRST - Look over the following websites below and determine a topic you believe.  Find 3 facts that proves you are right.

      

        Websites to ponder;

        Smoking

        Drugs

        Seat Belts

        School Uniforms required for school

 

SECOND-

--Write a letter to the class or someone you know using the letter generator about what you believe.  

--Follow the directions of the letter generator.  Use the Glendover School address: 710 Glendover Road, Lexington, KY  40502
 

--Include in the letter the 3 facts from the website that prove you are right. 

                 You should have 3 paragraphs: - (A paragraph has more than one sentence.)

                     Paragraph 1:  Introduction to ask the person to do something. (A question.)

                     Paragraph 2:  Three facts to show you are right.

                     Paragraph 3:  Conclusion which will repeat what you asked the person to do.

--You may print your letter if it has 3 paragraphs and 3 facts.  Be able to point these out to the teacher.

 

THIRD-

Your letter will be scored according to the checklist (rubric) below.
