Dear Santa,
Do you remember when I got my first computer? I did not know how to hook it up. There were all kinds of wires to be connected. I thought, “What have I gotten myself into?” Then I found out all the wonderful things a computer could do. Now my computer is old and slow.
Would you please, Santa, bring me a new computer? I would love to have a 1g. mz with 50mg memory. I don’t need a new screen or printer. I can use what I already have. Just a new zipdy fast computer.
You will probably remind me that I already have a computer. Well it is way too slow. I have to wait forever for it to remember where to find a file. Sometimes I can go fix a sandwich during the time it takes for this old computer to pull up a file.
Then you might say, “Well it costs too much.” Since your elves make all your gifts then a computer should not cost too much. If they can’t arrange that, how about some of these low monthly payment plans?
Finally, I know you are going to say that the computer I have is in good shape. Let me tell you about my keyboard. Three of the keys keep falling off. I have to use a popsicle stick to prop up the keyboard. Two key caps are totally missing. I don’t think that describes a computer in good shape.
I can see it now. The printer will be working so fast that I can get my work done and have time to watch TV. There are many things that I have to do on a computer everyday including answering my email, creating a Webpage and doing research on the Internet. All of this could be done in half the time with a faster computer.
So, Santa could you please bring me a new computer? I will be sure to send you emails to keep you informed about all the good little boys and girls.
A teacher on your good list,
Ms. B
