This scavenger hunt was created to help you to begin getting acquainted with the states in the United States.
First, go to Xpeditions, click on North America, then click on United States. When you have a map of U.S. scroll down and click on GIF below the picture. This will give you a larger map to use while you are working. (You can print the map.) You might need to come back and look at this map to help you answer the questions below. *To be able to go back and forth between the map and your questions, decide which button on the task bar at the bottom of the screen is the U.S. map. You will use these buttons on the task bar to move back and forth between your questions, Internet Explorer and map page.
Get familiar with the "50states" site by finding the following facts about Kentucky.

Now try to answer these questions about other states.
1. Which state has a flag that is red, blue border on the right, blue circle in the middle with 3 white
stars in the blue circle?_______________ Click on the flag under the list of states, then click on a state.
If you didn't find it, click the back button and try another until you find this flag.
2. What are the states that border Ohio?
3. What are the capital cities of the states that border Kentucky? (Hint: Look at the key of the map to tell which dots are capital cities.)
