Creating
a movie with Window’s Movie Maker
First
collect your pictures.
If
you collect them from the Internet
·
Right
click ON picture
·
Save
picture as
·
Put
pic in your network folder (create a pic folder inside your network folder to
save these pics.)
If
you scan your picture save to your folder on the network.
If
you take a pic with camera, move from the floppy A drive to your network folder.
When
you are ready to make your movie, move your network pic folder
to the computer you are working on. It’s
really best to put it in “My Documents” instead of the desktop.
Your computer will work easier if its not on the desktop.
Remember to delete this folder after you finish creating your movie.
No one else on that computer will need it, so don’t leave it there to
take up memory.
Open
Windows Movie Maker
, Start, All Programs, Windows Movie Maker
If
you are just starting the project, save your project---File, save
project, put it in your pic folder in my documents.
If
you need to finish a project you have all ready started—File, open
Import
pictures- look
for your pic file you just moved to “My documents”
Click
one time on the first picture
Hold
the shift key while you click on the last pic (this will highlight all the pics)
Import
Drag
the pictures down
to the boxes or the video bar in the order you want them to be in the movie.
Record your
narration
If
you don’t see an audio bar, click on “Show timeline” just above where you
drug the pics.
Click
on the microphone (make sure you have a microphone plugged in)
Wait
for recording window to come up
When
you are ready to speak, click on the “Start Narration” button.
The
input bar should be changing colors as it moves back and forth if it is
receiving sound.
When
finished “Stop Narration”
Wait
for a window to come up where you will name your file and click save.
Wait
for the file to appear in the audio bar.
The file will also appear in your “collection” window.
You
can only record as long as there is a picture.
You may have to lengthen the [last] picture if you need more time to
talk. Or, you may have to shorten the picture to fit the audio file you just
made.
Click
on tasks
Click
on transitions for movement from one picture to another.
Click
on video effects that will change a particular picture.
Drag the transitions or effects to in between the picture
Title
slides
Type
information accordingly and choose done when finished.
Note
you can change the title animation and font and color.
To
make the movie file when finished
Click
finish movie
Save
to my computer
Enter
a name (the title) for your movie
Put
in “my documents” (easier for computer)
Move
the movie file later to your network folder
Delete
project and pic folder from my documents
