      Here is what might be considered the ultimate geography site. It details a project to go to each location on the earth (excluding the middle of the oceans) where a line of latitude and longitude cross (a "confluence"), and photograph the site. Using GPS units, it is possible to come VERY close to the actual site of confluence.

      The website usually includes a written description of the trek to the sight and what was discovered at the site. There are photographs of the site and the area surrounding most of them. There are world maps and country maps showing confluences which have been visited to this point. Sadly (for those who'd like to pursue the fun), most of the U.S. has been covered.

This site would be a great addition to a study of latitude and longitude or other geographical subjects.
