 Tech Tips

   Do you have a student that has typed a portfolio piece entirely in caps?  To change the document to lower case use this keyboard shortcut:

 

Select all, Shift+F3

Each time you hit the F3 the case changes.

 

 

Useful Things for Teachers

Here is a list of sites that can be used with a Smartboard.  If you don't have a Smartboard, you can still use these sites with the whole class by using an LCD projector or set them up as a computer center.

New Sites

A grand canyon of a resource for Geography.  You can Rushmore students to the computer to use this Mammoth list of sites for practice and review.

What Five Year Olds Can do with Technology.  This article has some great sites for preschool & kindergarten students.

New Resource Sites for Testing

Since test time is approaching, this may be a site someone might like to use for practice.  

Edinformatics list of all the state sites for practice and released test items.

Virginia state also has practice questions for math and science.  The last page of the test provides a record.  The student can add their name and print out the record for scoring.

Texas Released Items- printable and online interactive versions
