Print pictures from Internet for students to use to create life cycles on paper or cut out pictures, mix and put back in order.

The Nature of Science:  Experimental Design

AE 2.1 Students understand scientific ways of thinking and working and use those methods to solve real-life problems.

• Design, conduct, and report an investigation or experiment.

• Record and represent data in an organized form (e.g., tabular, graphic formats).

• Collect data by using a variety of observation techniques and measurement tools.

• Little Shop of  Physics has a site of what they call Computer Experiments.  Discuss whether these are experiments.  Can some experiments be developed as an extension of this activity?

• Students develop a student that requires a survey.  Allow students to post the survey on a webpage to collect the data. (Ask your TRT or Maggie Whittington for help.)
