These songs were written by Technology Resource Teacher Jeffrey L. Jones, and recorded using MIDI and other technologies at his home studio. All guitars were played and vocal parts were sung "live" by Mr. Jones. All other parts (including bass, drums, electric and acoustic pianos, organ, strings, horns) were provided by MIDI sequences written by Mr. Jones using Noteworthy Composer, and played through a Roland JV-1010 MIDI sound module with the Orchestral I expansion board, and an inexpensive Yamaha portable keyboard (PSW270). The recording was accomplished through a traditional layered technique, using a rented Alesis LX20 ADAT digital tape recorder, and mastered directly to CD using a CDR-W real-time digital recorder belonging to Bryan Station Traditional High School. All the MIDI files below are General MIDI (GM) compatible, but contain only accompaniment instruments - no guitars or voices. Since a Roland sound module is more sophisticated than a standard GM player, don't expect the MIDI files to sound anything like they do on the MP3's! All MP3's are 64 kbps compression ("near" CD quality), and will average between 1 and 2 minutes download time on a 33.6k modem.. MIDI files, of course, download almost instantly.
