  US REGIONS PROJECT
Diana Hendrix and I are working on putting together a 4th grade study of the US Regions using our forums.  We are in the process of looking for classes around the US to join in.  If you think you might be interested in joining the project, just drop me an e-mail. The link above has information.  More to come soon!!

Keyboarding is an important skill that students need to know. In Fayette County, keyboarding is taught beginning with 3rd grade.  If you would like for me to come in and model some lessons from "Success with Keyboarding", please let me know.  I'll be happy to come in an model some "refresher" lessons as well to 4th and 5th graders.
Interested in communicating with other schools in Lexington, with in the State, US or even Internationally?  Forums are a great communication tool, easy to use and I will be more than happy to set them up for you.  I have several ideas for using them within your own classroom.  Kids of all ages love them and e-communication is quickly becoming a life skill.

Techie Tip from Kim Overstreet
Tech Tip #7--Attaching a file to an email message

Want to be able to send out that homework sheet to a parent of a student that's missed school? This month's tip is how to attach a document or file to an email message.

  • Open the email message.
  • Click on the paper clip on the toolbar or if that isn't there click Insert then File
  • Then look for the place where the file is saved.
  • Highlight the document and then click Insert.
  • Once it's inserted, you will see the icon in the email message. Then you can type a message or send the email
