PROJECT OUTLINE

 
WEEK 1 For Classes:

Post information about your region in the blog. See below.

For students participating in forum discussions, topics include:

Introductions, Your School

Major Cities/ Towns  in your Region

Location of your Region (What states border your region if any, what other regions, are you located toward the northern part of KY or the south?

Landforms and Water (Physical/Environment)

For Classes participating in the Project Celebration:

Begin planning your end product:  web page, power point, brochures, etc.

WEEK 2 For Classes:

Check the KY Regions blog and read over entries from other classes around KY.

For students participating in forum discussions, topics include:

History of your Region- reason why explored, settled

Cultures of your Region

Industry, Agriculture and Tourism (Economic)

For Classes participating in the Project Celebration:

Continue to work on your end product:  web page, power point, brochures, etc.

 

WEEK 3 For Classes:

Check the KY Regions blog and read over entries from other classes around KY.

For students participating in forum discussions, topics include:

Interesting facts you have learned

For Classes participating in the Project Celebration:

Post your projects on your school or class website and send the link to Leanna Prater to post on the Project Celebration page.

 

 

Blog Posting

Once your class has registered, you can log into Fayette County's The Point to post information about your region.  Click on the link for the KY Regions Project Blog assignment.  Click on the "Step by Step"Step by Step Help icon located to the left hand side of the screen.  Answer each question and then click "save down".  When you are finished, title your blog with the name of your region and your class name.  You will be able to view all blogs in the KY Regions Content Umbrella.

Below are the questions to be answered in the scaffold:

Please tell us the KY Regions you are from. Remember to type your answer in a complete sentence.
Please tell us some major cities or towns in your region.
Does your region border another state? If so, which ones? Is your region in the northern part of the state or the southern part?
What landforms and bodies of water are found in your region?
What cultures are represented in your region? Explain.
How does industry, agriculture or tourism play a part in the economy in your region?
If I were going to visit your regions, what places would you recommended that I stop to see and why?
