To access the teacher website, the teacher needs to first establish the website name on the workstation which will be used to work on the website.

To create the website name:

  • On the workstation, open FrontPage 2003 ("Start", "All Programs", "Microsoft Office", "Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003").

  • On the menu bar, click File, and choose Open Site.  (NOTE: If the Open Site dialog box opens up to My Webs, you must choose My Network Places, which is located at the bottom of the left-hand column.)

  • In the Site Name field, type the URL (http address) for the teacher website (EXAMPLE: http://staff.fcps.net/jdoe

  • Click Open after the address is entered.

  • At this point, the website name is created and the website can be opened.

To open a website for editing:

  • Choose File, Open Site.
