Directions for sending only one worksheet from Excel
through email
(Remember - an
Excel file is called a "workbook". Each sheet/page/tab is called a
"worksheet".) The Reading First coach wants to send just one worksheet to a
specific teacher. Here's how:
Directions for sending only one worksheet from Excel through email
- Open the
Excel file, and click on the teacher's sheet you are wanting to send.
- Click on
"File". Select "Send to" and then select "Mail Recipient" (not
the two that say "for review" or "as attachment").
- It will
probably pop up with a window asking if you want to send the entire workbook
or just the selected worksheet. Click the "selected worksheet" option and
click "OK" (or whatever it asks for).
- In the "To:"
field, put in the teacher's name.
- Notice it has
already plugged in the entire Excel file name as the subject. Change it if
you want.
- Notice also
that there is a new area under Subject called "Introduction". This is where
you will want to type any message to the teacher before sending.
- When you are
done with the message, be sure - again - that the worksheet you want to send
is selected, then click on "Send this Sheet" (this should be your choice
instead of the usual "Send").
