Processing News
     *  As of September 29th, the Media Technicians have processed 9210 books and 638 AV items for our school libraries.
Media Services,  KET and Insight

*  Your Insight Boxes should all be working now so that you are set to tape any block feeds from KET3.
If you miss the taping, Media Services has instituted a safety net for you to still get 1 duplicate per program per school upon request.
     *  The KET tape duplication service should speed up now that we have the following equipment and tapes in place:
-- Dual Deck VCR - used to duplicate tapes in VHS to VHS format  or to tape new masters in VHS format
-- Dual Deck DVD-VCR - used to tape new masters in VHS format
-- S-VHS to VHS rig to duplicate S-VHS master tapes from Channel 13 into VHS format so that you can play.  Can duplicate VHS to VHS as well.

Elementary only:  A brochure from the Kentucky Thoroughbred Association explaining a supplemental curriculum for Central Kentucky elementary students. Several copies of the curriculum have been given out to a few teachers,  only to find out that the entire school community is not aware of its existence. Consequently, KTA is planning on giving them to the elementary LMSs so they can be added to the library holdings.  Julie Klier will be at the October LAPS meeting to share information and field questions about the curriculum.
