The purpose of Media Services in keeping with the mission of Fayette County Public Schools is to provide people power, guidelines, and know-how to design excellent school library media programs that will help boost student achievement and to provide quality resources for teachers and staff.

The calendar days open are the same as FCPS 12 month hourly work dates. 

The Fayette County Teacher Resource Center provides:
  • A workplace for all FCPS staff with a variety of specialized equipment and resources.
  • Curriculum support materials are available for booking and delivery.   Searching can be done online once you have logged into your own school library database and selecting where to search by using the checkmarks and the dropdowns. 
  • Also materials can be requested via email, by phone (381-3888) or walk-in. 
  • Posters and die cuts which will be used for classroom instruction can be made by the TRC staff and couriered to the school.  Make your request via TRC e-mail.  Poster color choices and die cut choices will need to be specified in the e-mail.
  • Consumables for the poster maker, Ellison machine and dies and laminator with limits
  • A meeting area for teachers with a capacity of approximately 35 people with a smart board/projection device, a laptop, a DVD player, and a video cassette player.  Call 381-3881 to reserve.

Consumable materials

Some consumables are available for Fayette County Public Schools staff in the Teacher Resource Center to use with the equipment.  These are provided at no charge with the following limitations per visit or e-mail date.  FCPS staff will be asked to fill out a “supply usage sheet”.
