The purpose of Media Services in keeping with the mission of Fayette County Public Schools is to provide people power, guidelines, and know-how to design excellent school library media programs that will help boost student achievement and to provide quality resources for teachers and staff. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Other Central Services
for School Libraries

*  End of the year help to prepare for inventory.
*  New construction support (includes Library Resource Specialist to help with any questions in the initial planning and architectural stages. 
*  On site clerical and processing assistance at schools by media technicians
*  Follett automation support
*  Coordinating on-line trials of information databases and digital content
*  Gathering and dispensing district information about elementary, middle and high school libraries
*  Assistance as needed or requested in improving any or all facets of local school library programs – both formally and informally
*  Working with Purchasing Office to procure bids and vendors for library resources
*  Conduct a School Library Review in order to strive for a distinguished library program
