Important Information
About Using FrontPage 2003 To Edit Websites
The following information applies to all school websites, as well as class websites, in the Fayette County domain:
When opening a
website to edit, ALWAYS open FrontPage to access the
website. NEVER open a website through Internet Explorer.
Opening a website through IE will eventually corrupt the web.
Follow these directions:

FrontPage 2003
offers a new feature for opening websites. After the first time
a website is opened on a specific computer, thereafter when
FrontPage 2003 is opened, the last website which was edited will
automatically open. (This makes accessing the website easier
for teachers.)
NEVER open and/or edit web pages from the Website "page view." ALWAYS open pages from the Folder List on the left. The Website page view is intended only for the tasks listed at the bottom of that pane.
Shared borders
have to be "turned on" in FrontPage 2003 before they can be
used. Follow these directions:
http://teach.fcps.net/trt1/fpg03-sharedborder.htm
NEVER post a webpage as a Word document. Although a Word document can be saved as a web page, it will not function properly on a website long-term. INSTEAD let FrontPage convert the Word document to a web page. Follow these directions: http://teach.fcps.net/trt1/fpg03-directions.htm#Word_File
