Introduction

Plants are beautiful and add joy to our lives; however, plants are more important than just for their beauty.  They not only enrich the environment but also provide food and other products which we need to live.  Let's take a look at what plants are all about.

Task

In this webquest, you will answer questions on a worksheet about plants, label the parts of a flower in an illustration, and build a salad.   After completing the research, you will write a paragraph in your own words entitled, Why Plants Are Important to Me.

Process

• Begin your study of plants with your worksheet.   To find the answers to the questions, click on the underlined hyperlink. 
  
• After you find an answer, use the BACK button to go to the next question.
  
• After you answer the questions on the worksheet, click on the underlined hyperlink Label Plant Parts.  At this site draw the flower.  Label the flower parts on your illustration.
  
• After you label the parts of a flower, click on the underlined hyperlink to have some fun building your salad.
  
• Last, write a paragraph about plants.
