Introduction

To become extinct means to disappear forever, which is what happens to about three animal species per hour.  Man is the main reason these animals become threatened and, eventually, destroyed.  As you research, you will  discover not only things which destroy an animal's habitat but also ways to prevent this destruction.

Task

Your task is to visit the hyperlinks in Resources and find how an animal's habitat is destroyed and what things can be done to prevent this destruction and preserve an animal's habitat.  Use this research to complete the worksheet.  After your research, you will plan and develop your own organization which will focus on the preservation of the environment.

Process

  • Click on the hyperlinks and read the information at each of the internet sites.  Remember, the hyperlinks are underlined.

  • Complete the worksheet based on the information you find on the internet.

  • Develop and write a plan for your organization focused on the preservation of the environment.
