Classroom Performance System (CPS) Demo (@ Tates Creek Elementary Library, Thursday, February 3, 3:15-5:00 or 4:30-6:00) Come participate in an interactive demonstration of the student-directed, teacher-directed, and team activities that can be developed using the CPS. An overview of the reports that can be printed will be covered for both sessions from 4:30 - 5:00. Leave with a handout and the software that will allow you to develop your own activities or sign up to attend the work session on Wednesday, February 9. Powerpoint Games Are More than Fun (Tuesday, February 8, 4:30-6:00) Spice up your lesson and unit review sessions with PowerPoint games like Jeopardy, Who Wants to Be a Millionare and Hollywood Squares that are guaranteed to hold your class' attention. The games are already created, you just have to enter your own questions to create simple, but exciting ways to review your core content. Bring your ideas/content materials and create a game you can take back to the classroom. - with Amy Johns.

Talking Books (Wednesday, February 9, 4:30-6:00)  - Come and learn how to use PowerPoint as a tool for creating books for your classroom and mini-books for your students on a variety of topics. - with Leanna Prater.

Classroom Performance System (CPS) Work Session (@ Tates Creek Elementary Computer Lab, Wednesday, February 9, 3:15-5:00 or 4:30-6:00) Arrive at 3:15 or 4:30 to receive an introduction in creating your own CPS lessons and stay to receive help entering the multiple choice content based questions that you brought with you. The amount of PD earned will be based on the time spent in the session. Digital Video Editing for the Classroom (Monday, February 14, 4:30-6:00)  - We'll look at video examples, discuss where digital video might be useful in instruction, and spend some time looking at the software which creates and edits this medium.  Both Pinnacle Studio and Windows Movie Maker will be examined. - with Jeff Jones.

Using Class Web Pages as a Communication Tool (Wednesday, February 16, 4:30-6:00)  - Designed for teachers who have little or no experience with the class web page, this hands-on session will take you through the process of designing and creating a classroom web page. A great way to communicate with students and parents, the classroom web page brings the school and home together in a learning environment. - with Maggie Whittington.

IMMEX in the Classroom (Thursday, February 17, 4:30-6:00)  - This problem/project environment represents a $1 million-plus grant to FCPS. Eight Fayette County teachers, along with their students, spent the summer designing free web-based resources to help teach critical thinking. Come get a peek at these brand new problems sets and learn how you can use these and other IMMEX problem sets in your classroom! - with Lucinda Sanders.

SMART Board (@ Southern Middle School, Thursday, February 24, 4:30-6:00)  - Learn how to integrate the use of the SMART Board into your classroom!  Come get lots of great lesson ideas to take back and use immediately. - with Suzanne Weaver.

Smart Board Advanced (Thursday, March 24, 4:30-6:00) - This class is for people who have experience with Smart Board and want to learn more tricks of the trade. Come and find out how to include video and use sound with Smart Board. You will also learn the upgrades of Smart Board Notebook 8.1.4. - with Suzanne Weaver.
