ICON is a collection of carefully selected standards-based resources that enhance the teaching of technology. It is more than an electronic card catalog...ICON takes the user directly to the digital resource. This library can be searched by technology concepts, grade levels, or key words.

Campfire Stories with George CatlinCampfire Stories with George Catlin

This is a useful site to integrate art, social studies and writing. George Catlin was the artist who is best known for his work during the westward movement. There is a teacher resource page with lessons.

Classzone Web Research GuideClasszone Web Research Guide

Here's an internet unit to help your secondary students become web savvy. They will first test their skills on internet use, then follow the tutorials for doing research on the web, learning how to properly cite sources and evaluate sites. An expert quiz tests progress, with a guide for recommended sites by subject area.

Read Write Think from NCTETime Line Tool

This is a neat interactive time line from Read, Write, Think, very similar to TimeLiner. Once you enter Time Line Tool events you can insert additional events or reorder them. The timeline prints out in either a vertical or horizontal format. Pretty nice for schools that may not have multiple copies of TimeLiner.
