| Mark DiMascio, Ambrose Computer
Trainer
Mark and Fayette County Web Manager Pete Koutoulas
had a bet - when the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills played,
the banner of the winner would hang in the office of the fan of the
loser. As a born and raised Buffalo native, Mark was pretty proud
when he hung the Bill's banner in Pete's office last year! Mark
graduated from Hutchison Central Technical High School, spent four years studying
architecture at State University of New York/Buffalo, and received a
two year degree in computer programming in El Sagundo, California,
which propelled him into several computer-related jobs. He moved to Lexington in
1995, joining Fayette County
as a computer trainer in 1996.
These
days, Mark is a multi-tasker for Fayette County.
Besides his responsibilities teaching professional development
classes in the Microsoft Office suite of applications, he is in his
second year supporting the Read180 remedial reading program, and has
served as an aid in the classroom with this initiative. His
responsibilities also include managing the Lab, lab resources and
district software media.
Mr. DiMascio lives in Lexington, and spends much
of his off time raising two daughters - Amanda (13, and a student at
Morton Middle School), and Hannah, who Mark traveled to Hanoi, Viet
Nam, to adopt, when she was 18 months old. As a result, much of his leisure time is spent
at amusement parks, campgrounds, or visiting family in both New York
state and Florida.
