Long Description:

On the famous cooking show, Emeril yells BAM! to wake up bored audiences. Are we boring students with repetitive projects requiring simple skills? To increase content learning from technology activities,students need engaging projects calling on critical thinking skills. You don't have to start from scratch to create better integration projects. Learn how to spice up your plans by rating your project and adding ingredients to get at the true essence of learning. Teachers will evaluate one or more of their exisitng projects and add enhancements by using simple acronym (BAM) and choosing from a cookbook of software, websites, and activities.

From the NETS standards for Teachers: 3 TEACHING, LEARNING, AND THE CURRICULUM. Teachers implement curriculum plans that include methods and strategies for applying technology to maximize student learning. Research:

Using Brain Based learning principles, Bloom's action verbs and Marzano's findings on the most effective classroom practice, teachers will evaluate their projects critically looking for attributes that have been proven to increase student learning. Some of these include: emotional engagement, collaboration, classifying,analyzing, non-linguistic representations, and making decisions.
