Communication with students and their families is not only an important part of a teachers’ job, but it also increases their effectiveness in the classroom. However, there just never seems to be enough time to do everything you need to do. Classroom teachers need simple strategies for effective communication while maximizing their time. In this session, we will examine the research done on communication at an elementary school. We will see the impact that classroom web pages had on teacher communication with students and the home. We will learn timesaving techniques and ideas to assist with communication through classroom web pages. We will also explore types of web pages and examine the results of using specific types of web pages. |

Research: |
Classroom Web Pages and Communication = research done by me. Teachers who had up to date effective classroom web pages increased student/parent and family participation and spent less time telephoning, writing, emailing, and contacting the families. |
