Long Description:

The 8th grade class of 2002-2003 was the lowest performing of the three classes - attendance was low, grades were poor, discipline problems were plentiful, and StarMath scores did not improve throughout the year. It was to no one's surprise that the standarized test scores revealed a decline. Drastic measures were needed. When interviewing applicants, the use of technology was stressed as being the key to enhance learning, increase student interest, and subsequently increase test scores. This presentation will review lesson plans, techniques, and research data in year one of this class.
