Long Description:

The use of Inspiration along with word processing can significantly increase student motivation while writing portfolio pieces. Students can become familiar with Inspiration by completing various templates. This can led them to create their own graphic organizer to gather their thoughts before they start writing. Once they have completed their prewriting, it is easy to begin word processing. Often, students will be more motivated to edit a writing piece on the computer than they are on paper. This session will focus on how the use of technology throughout the writing process can affect student achievement.
