Branches of Government

1.  Please visit Ben's Guide to Government to learn or review the Branches of our Government.

2.  Open Kidspiration on your computer.

3. Open a new web.

4. In the first symbol, type in "Government".

5.  Click on the "add symbol" button three times.

6.  In first new symbol type in judicial, in next symbol type in legislative and in last symbol type in executive.

7.  Click on the symbol with the word judicial.  You should see the handle bars.  They look like red boxes in the corner. This means that you have the box selected.  Now click on the "add symbol" button three times.  In each new symbol, write a fact that you learned about the judicial branch.  If you would like, you may go to the symbol library and find a picture that relates to the judicial branch.  Using the link button, connect the picture to the word judicial. 

8.  Repeat step 7 for the legislative branch and the executive branch.

9.  If your teacher has given you permission, you may change the fill color, line color or shape of the symbols.

10.  Read over your web.

11. Click on writing and write at least one sentence for each of the facts that you have listed.

12.  Save work according to you teacher's direction.
