The Nine Planets

This activity uses an interactive PowerPoint slide show to present information about each of the nine planets. There are pictures of each planet and several videos included in the show. The videos show the rotation of each planet and provide other interesting facts about the solar system.

Download both of these files to the same folder. Then double click the setup file to install the show. This is a 50MB download because of the size of the video clips. It will take a while to download it all.

Use this Inspiration template to help you organize your information. Fill in what you know about each planet before you begin the activity. Then as you read about the planets, change or add to your concept map with what you are learning.
 
After completing this activity, you can use these Publisher templates to create a brochure or a book to show what they learned. Have students share and discuss what they make with the rest of the class.
