Objective:  Students will create a web with at least three facts about each branch of government. Students will write about what they have learned.

Procedure:

1.  Have students link to the page Ben's guide to government.

2.  Students can read about each branch of government, it's functions and responsibilities.  It also gives information about the requirements to obtain the offices in each.

3.  Have students open a new web in Kidspiration.

4.  Have students title the first bubble "Government" and create three bubbles from this.

5.  Students are to label these new bubbles Judicial, Legislative and Executive.

6.  Students are to add at least three bubbles to each branch of government.

7.  Students may change the fill color, line color or shape to each branch.

8.  Students may search for one or two pictures within Kidspiration that relate to the branches of government and link them correctly.

9.  After students have finshed their web, they may go to write to compose sentences about the information that they have learned.
