Lesson Title: African American Achievers

Level: 8th Grade

Lesson Objective: Students are to generate a list of African American men and women whose achievements came in the categories/areas of: politics, sports, military, literature, music/dance, business, science, stage/TV/acting, women, Lexingtonian, Kentuckian. They are to find one person for each category. They then must choose one of these people from the list, and write a report on this person.

Technology: Internet used to research, Word used to publish.
