Welcome...to the Fayette County Stages of Teaching with Technology Web
resource! This site has descriptions and examples which illustrate good technology integration, and the
classroom practices such integration
encourages. If this is your first time here, be sure to read all
of the following before beginning.
How to use this site: This site can be used
in several ways...
- ...as a stand-alone exercise or tutorial: Simply view each menu
item in sequence, and look at the classroom examples at the end. Videos are
offered by grade level, but we strongly
encourage you to watch all of them, even those that do not match your
grade level, since the content varies from video to video.
- ...as a collection of videos and other resources: For presentation and discussion purposes, the video examples are also linked from a single
page ("Video Content Direct Access"). There is a chart outlining the differences between
stages, and a set of example lesson plans as activities.
These and other resources are available from a menu that will appear after you begin.
Link Color-Coding: This website has hyperlinks that do different things, so
they are color-coded to help you predict what will happen when you click on one.
- Blue - Menu links. These links
select pages to view on this site.
- Red - pop-up links. These
links are for definitions and information. When you click them, a single, small window will pop
up. Just close the window when you've read its contents.
- Green - video links. These will
launch your selected video viewer. Patience, video files take a bit longer to load,
depending on what quality you choose, and your connection speed.
- Purple - off-site links. These
links open a new browser window to display your selection.
A red (pop-up) link with these color codes is included in the menu, if you forget.
