Showcase Project Tips

Purpose:

Students demonstrate an authentic project that directly impacts a classroom, school, or community.

1.

Remember to read the rubric.

2.

Start on the STEM Project Planner early so you will have time to reread and edit.

3.

Participants appearance should be appropriate for the presentation.

4.

Be careful to register based on the right category.

5.

If 2 to 4 students are part of the group, make sure each student contributes equally when speaking to the judges.

6.

Don't read from a prepared scrip or computer screen.

7.

Use bulleted words or phrases instead of long paragraphs on the backdrop or brochure.
8. Pay attention to booth design. Marketing is importing.
