Presentation Tips

Purpose:

Students communicate information and ideas effectively to a STEM audience using a variety of media and formats.

1.

Remember to read the rubric.

2.

Presenters appearance should be appropriate for the presentation.

3.

Readable font with appropriate font size.

4.

Appropriate graphics.

5.

If sound is used, make sure you bring external speakers.

6.

Attractive presentation.

7.

Bulleted words or phrases instead of sentences.

8.

Practice talking without reading from the screen.

9.

If 2 students are presenting, make sure each student contributes equally.

10.

The projectors will probably be in the ceiling and the connection may not be near where the presenters stand. The presenter may want to practice with a remote and/or with a person who advances the presentation.
