Presentation Information

 

Purpose: 

Students communicate information and ideas effectively to a STEM audience using a variety of media and formats.

  

1.

One or two students may present a topic of choice.

2.

Grade-level categories (This is based on the grade-level of the highest grade student participating in the group.):
  • Primary Elementary

  • Intermediate Elementary

  • Middle School

  • High School

3.

The student, or group of 2 students, needs to be registered online between November 26, 2007 and January 11, 2008 at:  http://teach.fcps.net/stem/Registration.

4.

We reserve the right to limit the number of presentations if the number of presentations exceeds the space available.

5.

A STEM Student Cover Sheet is required to be completed by each student .Typed copy preferred (12 pt. Arial font). As you type on the form provided, the boxes will expand. . If writing answers, expand boxes before printing and please print neatly. Attach the proper rubric with each cover sheet.

6.

The presentation must include a projector and presentation software (example: PowerPoint, web page).

7.

The presentation may include media such as Flash, video clips, and audio clips.

 The following items will be provided in the presentation rooms:

  • Projector

  • Table

  • Screen

9.

The following items will need to be provided and hooked up by the presenter:

  • Computer

  • Audio/Video Equipment

  • Speakers

  • Other Equipment Needed

10.

Time allocation = 30 minutes.

11. All students practice ethical, safe, and legal behavior.
